Privacy Policy for Soap Calculator

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy applies globally to all users of Soap Calculator - a soap and lye calculator for handmade soap makers, published on the App Store under the name "Soap Calculator: Lye & Recipe" by Panda Taps LLC. This policy explains what data Soap Calculator collects, why, and what it never collects. Soap Calculator has no accounts, no servers, and no backend: it is a fully on-device app.

2. Account Data

Soap Calculator does not require an account, an email address, or a password. The app runs without sign-in. Your recipes, batches, oil blends, labels, photos, and settings live on your device.

• We do not collect or store your email address.
• We do not collect your name or your studio name unless you enter a studio name in Settings so it can appear on the soap labels you generate. That value stays on your device.
• We operate no servers and maintain no user database. There is no profile of you anywhere.

3. Recipes, Batches & Calculations

The recipes, batches, oil blends, and notes you create are stored on-device in the app's local database. We do not send your recipe inputs, lye and water results, predicted bar properties, batch records, or notes to any server.

• The full oil catalog and every saponification calculation run entirely on your device. Nothing is looked up online.
• Deleting a recipe or batch from inside the app removes it permanently. Settings lets you reset onboarding and clear app data.

4. Batch Photos & Camera

Soap Calculator asks for camera or photo-library permission only if you choose to attach a photo to a batch. Photos you add are saved into the app's local batch storage. Soap Calculator never accesses the camera or photo library in the background.

• If you take a photo with the camera, it is saved only to that batch on your device.
• If you pick from your photo library, only the image you explicitly select is imported - we do not enumerate, scan, or read any other photos.
• You can revoke camera and photo access in iOS Settings at any time.

5. Labels & PDF Export

FDA-style INCI ingredient labels and Avery 5160 print sheets are generated locally on your device and rendered into your iOS share sheet. We do not receive a copy. Where a label or PDF goes from there - print, email, AirDrop, Files, Messages - is entirely up to you.

6. On-Device AI

The optional AI label copywriter uses Apple Foundation Models, which run entirely on your device. Your recipe, your batch notes, and the label copy it generates never leave your iPhone. There is no network request, no server log, and no third-party AI processor. Soap Calculator sends none of this content to us or to anyone else.

7. Notifications

If you enable cure-date reminders, Soap Calculator schedules them as local notifications on your device through iOS. There is no push server and no remote delivery - your batch and cure dates are never transmitted. Soap Calculator requests notification permission only when you turn the feature on, never at launch.

8. Widgets, Live Activities & Apple Watch

Home Screen widgets, the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island cure timer, and any Apple Watch features read your batch data directly from the app's on-device storage. They render locally and are not driven by any remote push or server.

9. Purchase and Subscription

Soap Calculator Pro is offered through Apple In-App Purchase as one of three options: a Monthly auto-renewable subscription at $1.99 per month with a 3-day free trial, a Yearly auto-renewable subscription at $4.99 per year with a 3-day free trial, and a one-time Lifetime purchase at $9.99. Apple processes all payment information. Soap Calculator receives only your purchase or subscription status (active, expired, in trial, or lifetime) - never your payment-card details, billing address, or Apple ID email.

• Subscription status is read locally from Apple's StoreKit and is not transmitted to any server of ours.
• Apple sends you renewal reminders before a trial ends and any time a subscription renews.
• Cancel any subscription any time in Apple ID > Subscriptions in iOS Settings. The Lifetime purchase has no recurring charges to cancel.

10. What We Don't Collect

Soap Calculator does not collect or store any of the following:

• Your contacts.
• Your location.
• Your photo library beyond images you explicitly attach to a batch.
• Your social-media identity from any third party.
• Your browsing or app usage outside Soap Calculator.
• Advertising identifiers - Soap Calculator does not run ads.
• Your recipe inputs, calculation results, or batch records - every saponification value is on-device and every calculation runs locally.

11. Cookies & Tracking

Soap Calculator is a native iOS app and does not use cookies. We do not use third-party advertising or behavioral tracking SDKs. We do not include analytics SDKs that report individual user actions. Soap Calculator ships with an Apple Privacy Manifest that declares zero data collection and no tracking.

12. Your Rights

You can exercise these rights from inside the app or by emailing support@pandataps.com:

• Right to access - your data lives on your device; everything is visible from inside the app.
• Right to delete - delete any recipe or batch in the app, or clear app data from Settings.
• Right to portability - you can export your labels as PDF and Avery print sheets from the Label screen.
• Right to opt out of any sale or sharing - Soap Calculator does not sell or share personal information, because it never collects it.

13. Children's Privacy

Soap Calculator is rated 4+ on the App Store. It is a tool for handmade soap makers - an activity that involves caustic lye and is intended for adults - and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new Effective Date.
